Joint
protocol between Information Technology Institute (ITI) and Faculty of
Medicine- Kasr El Ainy Hospitals, Cairo University
In its dedicated efforts towards the adoption
and development of global trends, especially in the field of biomedical
informatics, the ITI jointly with the Faculty of Medicine – Kasr
El Ainy Hospitals, Cairo University established an agreement protocol
aiming to familiarize the future physician as well as the other allied
healthcare specialties with the applications of computing and information
systems in health and medicine, to be able to fulfil their roles as life-long
learners, clinicians, educators, communicators, researchers and managers.
It is worthwhile mentioning that this agreement is the first Egyptian
attempt in its nature to formulate and implement practical professional
training programs in a joint medical-informatics practice between the
Faculty of Medicine Cairo University (Egypt’s prominent and highest
ranking medicine school) and ITI.
This year‘s “
Information Processing in the Service of Mankind and Health” Program
will explore three Themes:
* Medical Informatics
* Information Processing
* Human-Machine Interaction
As for the workshops they will be discussing and providing
recommendations in how to make the best use of information processing
to achieve the main purpose of the conference which is how to serve man
kind and health.
